Ulmus parvifolia Frosty Elm (45lt)

Variegated Chinese Elm. A large fast-growing semi-deciduous tree with horizontally climbing branches becoming an open, round-headed tree as it matures. This variegated variety has white margins around its small, glossy-green, serrated leaves which give them the 'frosty' appearance, before turning a brilliant yellow in autumn, holding papery winged seeds until winter. Mature trees have attractive bark that sheds in irregular patches to reveal beautiful mottled colours of grey, green, orange and brown. A statement tree for large gardens or parks.
Position in full sun. Suits most soil types that hold some moisture. Good for windy or coastal sites.
