Beaufortia squarrosa Red, commonly known as the Sand Bottlebrush, is a WA native small to medium shrub. It has a dense growing habit with it's most popular use being in landscape, mainly in large areas such as parks and reserves. Beaufortia squarrosa Red is a very tolerant evergreen shrub, it copes in drought, moderate frost and soil salinity, although beaufortia squarrosa Red does require well drained soil. Beaufortia squarrosa has bright red flowers, they occur nearer the ends of the branches and flower for the majority of the year. Beaufortia squarrosa Red is great for attracting nectar eating birds and insects.
