Penstemon Alice Hindley (14cm)

Penstemon Alice Hindley (Penstemon Hybrid) is a taller growing Penstemon that shows off incredibly beautiful lavender mauve trumpet flowers with pale throats. Like all Penstemons, this plant is extremely hardy and tough, requiring only a gentle cutback now and then to keep it looking great all through the season. A reliable consistent performer in the heat of Summer, as well as being frost tolerant makes these beautiful cottage perennials suitable for a wide range of positions and soils. Preferring a full sun position, penstemon will also grow well in a shaded position but they might not flower as prolifically as if they were in the sun. For best results prune fairly hard in Winter to rejuvenate and stop plants from becoming woody.
